Acer launched Swift 5 in late 2020 under the premium portable category of laptops with Intel’s latest 11th Gen processors making it easy to perform. The laptop is launched mid-range, offering a great outlook for value and design. It is one of the lightest laptops but certainly not the most stylish in this price range because of the plastic trackpad.
Acer Swift 5 Review (Intel i7 11th Gen)
Build Quality and Design:
Acer Swift 5 is lightweight and easy to carry. The portability factor is the major point why it has attracted the attention of buyers. It is a good 13-inch laptop and has magnesium-aluminum and magnesium-lithium body panels. The laptop weighs around 1.05 kg. It is a sturdy laptop and is dead strong. The laptop, however, is not as swanky and elegant, as many of its competitors and does not come under the category of a stylish laptop.

Display:
Acer Swift 5 has a good 14 inches screen but is not as advanced as you might have seen on other laptops. The laptop has an IPS LCD touchscreen panel with 1920*1080 resolution and 407 nit brightness. The brightness is enough to cope with the outdoor lighting. The resolution is Full HD, giving it an added advantage of low battery drainage compared to those with 4K screens. Acer Swift 5 has a touchscreen provided with a gorilla glass but this is not the forte of the laptop on which it is sold.
Performance:
Acer Swift 5 is installed with an Intel Core i7 processor which is an optimum choice for the laptops in this price range. It has 16GB RAM and 1 TB SSD storage and has integrated graphics. The laptop can be used for gaming and one can play games without any noise.

But, if one stresses the CPU one can notice the sound that the CPU makes while performing high-end tasks. The laptop has Windows 10 and can be used for daily normal use. It also has Bluetooth 5.0 support.
Battery Backup:
Acer Swift 5 has an excellent battery backup which is the ultimate requirement for users. The laptop stands for around 17 hours on playing games and streaming videos, on a single full charge. Under the power-saving mode, the battery life can extend more than 17 hours, which is an extraordinary feature. The laptop can be seen with two USB 3.2 ports and one USB-C port, which has now become a standard connector for almost all laptops.
Keyboard & Trackpad:
The laptop has a strong keyboard. The key characters are light and fast and good for long-term typing purposes. It has a backlight but does not have customizable intensity. The touchpad is not appealing as it has a plastic surface rather than textured glass. The keyboard has a backlight that gets turned on after Touching the keypad.
Verdict:
Acer Swift 5 is considered a good option under one lakhs. If one has a low mid-range budget they can go for this laptop. The battery life is pretty awesome and is better than many of the other brands. There are some drawbacks but you cannot get everything under this price range. The color Mist Green is quite appealing and is different from the others. You can store a plethora of music albums and files as it has huge storage.
