Sony WH-CH720N Review

Design & Build Quality:

SONY WH-CH720N headphone is available in the market in three colors: Black, Blue, and White. Along with this, fine and good quality earcup cushions have been used. The design of SONY WH-CH720N is premium and you can guess it at first glance. The total weight of SONY WH-CH720N is 192 grams. For your information, let us tell you that this is Sony’s lightest wireless headphone.

SONY WH-CH720N comes with a slick matte finish design. It has faux leather earpads which are suitable for long-term use. Along with this, a comfortable cushion has also been used in the heading. It has a button for play-pause and a Type-C port for charging.

There is no problem in reaching the button. It also has an LED indicator for power. The left earpad has a 3.5mm audio jack and power button along with a charging port. On the right side, there are buttons for volume, play-pause, and noise cancellation.

Performance:

The setup and connection of SONY WH-CH720N is very easy. An Aux cable and Type-C cable are available in the box with the headphones. We used it with iPhone 14 Pro Max, Galaxy S23 Ultra, and laptop during the review.

We didn’t face any problems. It is very easy to pair it. Along with this, there is also support for the Sony Headphone Connect app in which you get battery information and an equalizer is also available.

A dual noise cancellation sensor is available in SONY WH-CH720N. I liked its noise cancellation very much. It completely eliminates external or background noise. We felt one drawback in this headphone and that is that it does not have ear detection i.e. it does not play-pause after removing it from the ear.

Along with this, the Sony Headphone app is also supported through which you can also use the equalizer. 360-degree audio and adaptive audio are also available with the app.

In Adaptive Audio settings, the headphones track your location and movement and adjust the audio quality accordingly. We could not use 360 degrees because for this we had to download two or three apps (artist connection) and there was some technical problem with the app.

We tried downloading several times but every time we got an error message. The app is really very useful. This doubles the fun of using headphones.

The sound of the headphones is clear and also loud. We did not face any problems regarding calling. The microphone provided with SONY WH-CH720N comes with Precise Voice Pickup Technology which helps in providing a clear voice.

Battery Backup:

Now as far as battery is concerned, the battery life of SONY WH-CH720N is excellent. With noise cancellation, you get a backup of about 35 hours, while by keeping it off, you get a backup of up to 50 hours, although charging is slow. It takes time to charge.

Conclusion: Sony WH-CH720N Review

Now overall, Sony WH-CH720N is the best option for those who want good sound quality with noise cancellation along with a comfortable design for less than ₹8,000. Apart from slow charging, we did not notice any drawbacks to it.
